Welcome to the Louth Choral Society website. Here you will find details of forthcoming concerts as well as information about the choir and how you can join us. New members are always welcome whether you are an experienced singer or are joining a choir for the first time. Singing has many benefits: it's fun, sociable, challenging and good for your health!

THE BEST OF BRITISH

This year we are celebrating the "Best of British" with a varied programme that includes:

Charles Villiers Stanford's rousing "Songs of the Fleet"
Five English Folksongs - delightful arrangements by Daryl Runswick
George Shearing's "Music to Hear" (Shakespeare's lyrics with a touch of jazz!)
Excerpts from "My Fair Lady" by Lerner & Lowe (irresistible!)

Tickets priced £10 and £7 will be available shortly from Eve & Ranshaw in Louth or from the Caxton Theatre Ticket Office (Grimsby Library). They can also be reserved by telephoning 01507 463410 or purchased on the door.

The choir's new CD recording “The Wings Of A Dove” is now available. It includes music by Mendelssohn, Samuel Sebastian Wesley and the first ever recording with brass accompaniment of Carl Rutti’s “Three Carols”.

CHORAL SOCIETY DELIVERED MUSIC THAT SPOKE TO OUR INNER SOUL

LOUTH'S St James's Church echoed to the wonderful and rich majestic tones of Louth Choral Society during a concert to mark Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee.

Songs of Farewell featured music of a valedictory nature, described in the programme as reflective, wishful, mournful and hopeful.

It was music that certainly spoke to our inner soul and, therefore, all the more beautiful for doing so.
